Hi, I’m Nagela!
A multidisciplinary storyteller chasing freedom, light in the darkness, and the relentless pursuit of healing.
If there’s a medium I can express myself through, I’ll use it – writing, photography, videography, crafting, and movement.
I’ve always been drawn to the stories that live in the mundane and ordinary. I am also an obsessive chronicler of events & probably pathologize myself way too much. Reading is my blankie and have fell asleep more often than I care to admit listening to podcast on Scandals, Deceptions, Cults, and Tru Crime.
I’m a Brooklyn native (RIP my precious Prospect Heights before the Barclays & gentrification), a Quaker-boarding-school alum in Pennsylvania, and a Biology grad from Connecticut who still wonders why she didn’t major in Psychology or Anthropology.
My partner and I are kind of nomadic – on the constant search for “home”. Whatever that means! We have lived this way for many years, following curiosity, chasing stillness, and finding comfort in change.
In 2018, we did van life along the coast of the U.S., then drove cross-country after my dad passed away, a trip that reshaped how I mourn and grieve. On his 1 year death anniversary, I started my blog, Liosuelo. I tell my story, but he couldn’t tell his.
In October of 2019, we left the USA to become “digital nomads”. We sold all our things and everything we owned fit into just 2 bags each. We spent the last 6 years creating homebases in countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Creating beautiful memories and even more wonderful friendships.
In March of 2025, we decided to return to the USA for a brief respite. Now, we are rooted (for the moment) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as part of the Tulsa Remote program.
Professionally, I work as an operations & strategy consultant helping mission-driven organizations and communities make sure their values align with their practices. My background blends strategy, social impact, and creative communication, but at the core, it’s all storytelling. I love helping people and teams find clarity, purpose, and voice.
More than anything, I believe in living a life that’s genuine, authentic, and boundary-less.
Thank you!! (if you read to this point)
